PIQUA FALLS TO BEAVERCREEK...

STORY BY ROB KISER - PIQUA DAILY CALL
BEAVERCREEK — Piqua baseball coach Chris Barr wasn’t disappointed with his team’s play in an 8-1 loss to Beavercreek Thursday in GWOC crossover action.

“Beavercreek is one of the best teams in the Dayton area,” Barr said. “We were right there with them. We just need leadership and we don’t have that right them. We just need some enthusiasm in the dugout. The idea is to have fun out there. We need to remember that and show some enthusiasm.”

Piqua had eight hits in the game. Logan Rasor led the way, going 3-for-4 at the plate. He had a double and scored Piqua’s only run.

“We left some kids on base,” Barr said. “We had a lot of one hit innings.”

Piqua will play at Springfield North today.
