The Piqua Indian Athletic Boosters primary purpose is to support our 51 athletic teams at both the High School and Junior High levels. While the Athletic Department addresses the needs of our athletic teams it is the responsibility of the Piqua Indian Athletic Boosters to help meet the special needs of our athletes and our athletic teams. Our athletic programs have benefited from the fundraising efforts of PIAB through the purchase of training equipment, scoreboards, playing field improvements, uniform funding and athletic scholarships to name a few.
The Piqua Indian Athletic Boosters began to re-organize in November 2006. This re-organization involved unifying the 51 Piqua athletic teams into one fundraising organization. The benefits are far reaching for our athletes our corporate sponsors, parents and fans. Our focus in 2007 is in four primary categories.
- Create new event type fundraisers
- Become 501c3 Compliant
- Create an easily identifiable community presence
- Create long term 5-10 year goals
The PIAB Board of Directors is comprised of the Executive Council (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and the Governor Council (representatives from athletic teams). The Piqua Indian Athletic Boosters meet on the second Tuesday of every month in the High School library and the public is invited to attend. Volunteer opportunities exist for everyone. Please contact the Piqua Indian Athletic Boosters for membership information.
