PIQUA FALLS TO 6-6 WITH LOSS TO 'BOLTS...

STORY BY ROB KISER - PIQUA DAILY CALL
At times, the Piqua boys basketball team plays very well.

But, it takes 32 minutes of high quality basketball to beat a team of Northmont’s caliber and Friday night at Garbry Gymnasium, Piqua had a couple lapses the Indianscouldn’t overcome in a 56-44 loss to the T-Bolts.

“Northmont is playing really well right now,” Bixler said. “We come out and turn the ball over on four of our first five possessions of the game. Then, in the thirdquarter, we turn the ball over on our first three possessions. You can’t do those kind of things.”

David Rolf, facing 6-8 Andrew Parris, who will play for Akron next year, had another big game against the T-Bolts.

Rolf had 23 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals; compared to Parrish’s 13 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.

Hemm and Reed scored eight points each, but the rest of the Indians combined for just five points .

Piqua was 16 of 44 from the floor for 36 percent and six of eight from the line for 75 percent. Northmont was 23 of 48 from the floor for 48 percent and five of 12 from the line from 42 percent.

Northmont won the battle of the boards 24-22, and had 15 turnovers to Piqua’s 21.

The Indians will travel to Springfield South Tuesday and Sidney Friday.
