PIQUA BEATS SPRINGFIELD NORTH...

SPRINGFIELD — The Piqua boys golf team, coming off a 170-173 win over Tipp City Friday at Troy Country Club, defeated Springfield North 166-184 Tuesday at Snyder Park.

“The kids played pretty well,” Piqua coach Chris Barr said. “The good thing about it is they are not satisfied. We have some big matches over the next two weeks.

“We are 7-4 right now and the kids realize we can have  a pretty good dual match record,
depending on what we do the next two matches.

“They are not satisfied with just having a winning record.”

Piqua scores were Ben Gover 37, Kiel Feeser 41, Brody Fox 42, Kyle Brumbaugh 47, David Duer 48, Gaaj Meyer 49.

Piqua will play Centerville today at Yankee Trace and host Troy Thursday at Echo Hills.
