INDIANS FALL TO CENTERVILLE...
STORY BY ROB KISER - PIQUA DAILY CALL
CENTERVILLE It wasn’t the scores of the Piqua golfers that bothered Indians coach Chris Barr so much Wednesday at Yankee Trace.
It was the approach his team took in a 155-175 loss to Centerville.
“It was the attitude of players before and during the match,” Barr said. “The kids weren’t focused or ready to play.
“It was like they decided before the match we couldn’t beat Centerville.
“I don’t care who we are playing. You have to be more competitive than that.”
Piqua scores were Brody Fox 42, Ben Gover 42, Kiel Feeser 43, Gaaj Meyer 48, Kyle Brumbaugh 53, David Duer 54.
Piqua will play its final dual match of the season tonight, hosting Troy.
“I can’t imagine you needing any more motivation when you are playing Troy,” Barr said. “Especially, when it is for second-place in the league.
“It will be the seniors final home match.”
The Indians will take a 7-5 record into the match.
