PIQUA DROPS CONTEST TO VANDALIA-BUTLER...

The Piqua volleyball team lost its GWOC North showdown with Vandalia-Butler 25-13, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21 Thursday in GWOC North action.

Ashley Belisle pounded 14 kills to go with three aces and six digs.

Chelsea Hostetter had six aces, 10 digs and 27 assists; while Sara Keck had six kills, two aces, 12 digs and three blocks.

Cassi Curtis had five kills and 15 digs, while Joni Barnett had three aces, three digs, two assists and two kills.

Macareena Studebaker had six digs, while Kayle Quinter had three digs and six kills.

The Piqua junior varsity won in two games.

Piqua is 9-6 overall and 2-1 in the GWOC North.
