The Piqua volleyball team played some of its best volleyball of the season Saturday, moving over the .500 mark for the first time since the opening match of the season.

The Lady Indians went 2-1 in their own tournament, defeating defending champion Fort Loramie in the third-place match.

After defeating Coldwater 25-17, 24-26, 25-14; Piqua lost to Lakota East 16-25, 25-17, 25-15-19; before defeating Loramie 25-19, 25-21.

Against Coldwater, Chelsea Hostetter had 29 assists and five digs, while Keck had 13 kills, four digs and three blocks. Belisle had nine kills, four aces, two digs and two blocks.

Curtis had eight and seven digs and Quinter added three digs and three kills.

Against Lakota East, Hostetter had five aces, five digs and 16 assists; while Keck had two aces, four digs and 10 kills.

Belisle had three kills, two aces and 10 digs, while Curtis had four kills and seven digs. Barnett had two aces and four digs.

Studebaker and Miranda Baker had four digs each, while Quinter had two digs, two blocks and two kills.

Against Loramie, Hostetter had 23 assists and two digs, while Keck had eight kills, two aces, five digs and two blocks.

Belisle had five kills and three digs,  while Curtis had six kills and three digs. Barnett had two kills and three digs, while Baker had two digs and Quinter had two aces, one dig and two kills.
